WASTE EXPO 2022 AGENDA LAUNCH : BRINGING TOGETHER INDUSTRY, BUSINESS AND GOVERNMENT EXPERTS SHARING THEIR INSIGHTS ON AUSTRALIA’S ROADMAP TO CREATING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

30 August 2022

Waste Expo Australia, the foremost gathering of waste management and resource recovery professionals in the country, announced the launch of the 2022 conference agenda today.

Waste Expo returns to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) across two days, October 26th and 27th, co-located with All-Energy Australia. The ‘free-to-attend’ conference offers attendees insights into Australia’s circularity roadmap.

Speakers include legislators, local councils, recycling and waste management experts all presenting new and innovative approaches to waste and recycling.

In 2022 the Waste Expo deep dives into municipal waste initiatives for waste and recycling, commercial & industrial and commercial & demolition resource recovery and waste management, and the roadmap to circularity, as well as updates on WtE/EtW innovation.

Lily D’Ambrosio, Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, Victorian Government, kicks off the conference, providing an overview of the Victorian Government's ten year plan to boost recycling, reduce waste and create jobs. Followed by keynotes from Interim CEO Sustainability Victoria Matt Genever,  and, speaking for the first time is the new Head of Recycling Victoria, Tony Circelli.

Robby Clark, Portfolio Director for the Energy & Waste Portfolio at RX Global, expressed his excitement at being able host Waste Expo in 2022, since the last live event in 2019. “We are proud to deliver the most comprehensive Waste Expo agenda to-date in 2022,” said Clark.  “With a stellar line-up of speakers from all across recycling and waste management, all coming together to share their successes, lessons learnt and what the future holds. Waste Expo gives attendees the opportunity to hear from some of the biggest names in the industry at the conference and do business with leading suppliers for free on the Expo floor,” he concluded.

Waste Expo Australia is co-located with All-Energy Australia, forming the largest gathering for waste and recycling management, clean and renewable energy, and energy storage professionals in the country. Free registration is available at https://www.wasteexpoaustralia.com.au/
